Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Family owned and ran. We LOVE this place. A margarita will put you down! Well, down into a warm, tingly, giggly way! I've yet to have something isn't delicious from this place! Yum!

We stopped while out in Lincoln City because of the good reviews and were glad we did! Really good (simple, straight-forward) Mexican food. Huge menu (actually a bit overwhelming) with all the classics. As soon as we were seated, the servers brought water, warm chips, salsa and refried beans. For lunch, our table enjoyed enchiladas, quesadillas, a camarones plate similar to fajitas and the torta asada. Everyone was very happy. Now I need to reiterate, this is simple cuisine with a fun folksy Mexican decor. It's not high dining, and nor need it be! Immaculately clean dining room and restrooms, friendly and fast service, great food at a good price. I'd definitely go back.

This place is awesome. Easily the best Mexican in LC. We went for lunch and had a couple combos and so we got to try the Chicken Taquitos, Chicken Ench, and Chile Relleno. Plus chips and guac. All of this packed very nicely for takeout. It was all very fresh and delicious and we will definitely be back.

Really good Mexican food! After reading the reviews on Yelp, BF and I decided to try this place out. So glad we did! We didn't eat at the restaurant, we had to get take out because we had our dog with us, and don't like to leave her for long stretches in the car. I got the Chili Relleno and Enchilada combo, and the BF got Flautas. My Relleno was really good (I have had a hard time finding good ones overall) as was my Chicken Enchilada. We also got chips and guacamole, and the guac was really good. Very fresh and just the right amount of seasoning. BF also really liked his Flautas, and he's pickier than me. Next time we are visiting Lincoln City and craving Mexican food, we will definitely come back. Some of the best Mexican food I've eaten in Oregon. I'd highly recommend this place!

What a cute little restaurant with good food. Very nicely and colorfully decorated, it was fun being here. Ample parking (thank you!) and quickly and friendly service. I had a tasty top-shelf margarita, and we all enjoyed our food (tostadas, salads). And very decent prices. I'd definitely recommend you stop here if you are in Lincoln City and craving some Mexican food.

We just arrived into town after a long drive and came with our friends. They bring out the chips and salsa with a small dish of refried beans too which I think is awesome because I love to dip my chips in refried beans. I ordered the carne asada tacos which are have cabbage, onions, cilantro and a large portion of meat. The sauce that is on them is VERY hot!! If you are not a hot sauce person ask for a milder sauce. My husband ordered the Burrito Supremo with tongue and it had mostly rice and beans very light on tongue. Over all atmosphere was the usual Mexican restaurant with lots of bright colors and traditional decor. I would eat here again.
(4)Darlene H.
I had high hopes for this but was disappointed. The salsa was the best thing and it was mediocre. The food was bland and fairly tasteless. The pinto beans were either cooked past oblivion or canned, they were devoid of texture. We had way better Mexican food in Nicaragua.

We rented a house on Devil's Lake for Memorial Day Weekend and, on the last evening in town, decided we were craving Mexican food for dinner. We pulled up our Yelp app and searched for a place, Puerto Vallarta has pretty good reviews. When we got there around 7:30pm...the place was packed! We were a party of six and there was two other parties of six on the list ahead of us. The hostess wasn't sure how long the wait was going to take. We considered going elsewhere but figured it was a long weekend and everyone was at the beach so there would be a wait no matter where we went. A group of four people leaving told us that it was worth the wait. Luckily for us, the family ahead of us decided to leave instead of waiting. About 45 minutes later, we were seated at a table in the back. I was skeptical because I've had some really bad Mexican food at the coast. I was pleasantly surprise as soon as we sat down. We had fresh, homemade tortilla chips with a bean dip and salsa to snack on while we looked over the menu and waited for our entrees. They didn't have exotic meats listed on their menu but when I asked...they said they could make it for me. Awesome. I ended up getting a blended peach margarita and Lengua Chimichanga served with bean and rice. I can't tell if I was really hungry or it was just super good because I finished the whole plate. Once we were seated, service was very efficient--the servers were accommodating and nice. Waters didn't go unfilled, which is always a good thing. After dinner, they had fried tortilla chips rolled in cinnamon-sugar topped with whipped cream as a little complimentary dessert. You go up to the counter to pay which make splitting checks easy.

Nothing but glowing, positive, complimentary things to say about Puerto Vallarta, seriously! The restaurant is small, but absolutely charming, spotless, cozy, bright and laid out well. The wait staff were attentive, polite, professional and fast. The Food! Was! Delicious! Could this be the very best restaurant in Lincoln City? I think so.
(5)LeeAnn L.
Very good dinner. Hubby had the crispy chicken taco plate and I had the shrimp cocktail. And the desert tortilla chips with whipped cream were a wonderful surprise.
(5)Wayne G.
This place has good food at fair prices and is super clean. The staff is very helpful. If we lived in the area we'd eat here regularly.
(4)J G.
Great food even though the beans were instant and a bit too thin on the consistency. Excellent fajitas, combo burrito, enchiladas and posole. The service was awful though- the only reason for the 3 star rating. Never checked on us for soda refills which would have earned them more money since they are sold bottle style. He never checked to see that the food was to our liking (although it was.)had to go find our own Tapatio from the hostess- had my son go locate the waiter to get our check- left with the table still full of every single one of our dirty dishes. Only the second time I have ever had service bad enough to not tip. Last time was about 30 years ago! Food was so good that I might go back and give it a second chance someday.
(3)Donna R.
Great food. Great service. Great atmosphere. We always eat here when we are in Lincoln City.
(5)Brandon T.
Excellent Mexican food! Extremely clean, and the service is great. You will not be disappointed.
(5)Olly K.
Yum. Really good foods and friendly service. I will be back when I visit this town again.
(4)brenda d.
Amazing! I have been to a lot of puerto Vallartas this one has by far the cleanest and nicest decorations and looks very well kept. Every time we go there we get incredible food really nice and fast service. We will be coming to this Mexican restaurant every time we come to Lincoln City hands down. Best Mexican food in Lincoln City for sure
(5)Samantha B.
Went there last night after a 9 mile walk on the beach. It's a tiny building, so there are not that many tables. Wait was about 15-20 minutes. We came because of the reviews on Yelp, and man was it worth it. Once seated they give you chips, bean dip, and what appears to be a house made salsa. The chips were still super warm, and the beans were incredibly. Salsa was a little too spivey for mine and my boyfriends taste, but all in all had a great flavor to it. He got the fish tacos, with refried beans and rice. Myself, the shredded chicken enchilada and chile relleno with refried beans and rice. Also, a piña colada. The fish in his tacos weren't crispy, which he preferred anyway. He said they were great. I finished all my food in the span of maybe 10 minutes. IT WAS SO GOOD. However, the chicken was a little dry and some parts of the egg for the chile relleno was a little burnt. But it was so incredibly good. The service was great, the place was clean! I will be back. P.s the piña colada was STRONG. lol
(4)Janell O.
Our beach house was just a few blocks away and my kids were begging for Mexican so we decided to give this place a shot. The food was excellent, very fresh, even getting it to go. Pleasantly surprised! Our favorite was the shrimp cocktail soup... so flavorful with tons of plump shrimp! We even liked the leftovers cold. We'd definitely eat here again, there's plenty on the menu that we'd love to try next time.
(5)Tony W.
Good service. Good food. Staff was able to accommodate some food allergies. Will return here next time we are in town. Recommended.
(5)Lorie B.
We found this place after getting really sick of eating fish and chips while on vacation on the Oregon Coast. The restaurant is colorful and clean... Even the bathrooms. The food was so good, we ended up eating there 2 times during our 4 day stay. The staff is friendly and clean. It's just a great place, you won't regret stopping!
(5)Anna R.
Really, really good food! We came in to hide from the rain and were so glad we did. The staff was warm and welcoming, and even though we were already stuffing our faces with their warm tortilla chips and salsa, we couldn't stop eating our delicious tacos (the chicken and fish tacos were perfect). And those margaritas. Would definitely go again.
(5)Lezlea-Warren P.
Been coming here pretty regularly for about a month. Food is great! Family owned and run, very nice people. Trio fajitas are AWESOME!!!
(4)JP D.
We had a hankering for Mexican comfort food and this place delivered. Really clean and bright place. Super friendly staff. Yummy chips & salsa served with hot creamy refried beans. That, and my Negra Modelo served in a frosty glass with a lime, and we were off to a good start. We both had combo plates. I had a pork tamale, cheese enchilada, and ground beef taco. The taco shell was a fresh tortilla flash fried and folded around well-seasoned ground beef with tomato, cheese, and lettuce. The shell made it really good. The tamale was moist and tasty. The enchilada sauce was good and had some seasonings that I cannot identify but recognize from trips to Mexico. The food was a step above the average Mexican combo plate you usually find in the PNW. My wife's pork taquitos plate was good but she liked my enchilada enough to order one to go as we left. The refried beans were awesome and the rice above average. My only criticism is overall a tiny bit salty for my taste - but I'm pretty sensitive to salt. My wife liked the salt level. Overall, it hit the spot and we will be back next time we are in the mood for Mexican and near Lincoln city.
(4)Eric A.
This was a great find. The restaurant itself was well maintained and clean. This was special by itself given other places we have tried in Lincoln City. The service was very friendly and the food was great. Fantastic salsa. We will be back.
(4)Mark P.
How to review Puerto Vallarta restaurant. I'm rating it on the style and type of Mexican food they served. It's not high quality and it's not a taqueria. It's pretty standard. Refried beans with lard. White rice with the standard amount of oil. The carne asada was good. Not great. Not chewy. The staff was very prompt and friendly. The dishes arrives hot. We had a cheese quesadilla that came with beans and rice, a burrito supreme that was huge. And carne asada enchiladas that came with beans, rice sour cream and guacamole. I don't think the guac was made fresh too "oily". Had horchata to drink. They state they make it fresh. It was very, very good. Best I've had In a long time. Only bottled beers. No micros. Standard Mexican beers. I would come back.

Yum! This was a delightful experience and the food was better than expected. I have to eat gluten-free and I was going to order the Chili Verde tostada, but I was told it has flour in it. I ordered the chicken tostada with the optional avocados for a dollar more and it was very filling. I could not finish my plate! I was very pleased that the corn tortilla stayed crispy during the entire meal and was never soggy and gross. They happily refilled our salsa and delicious refried bean dip and altogether, it was a pleasant experience. The place is well lit, colorfully and cheerfully decorated and it looks updated and new inside. If you have a 2015 Entertainment Book, you can use a coupon and save up to $6 on a meal. I would totally come back here again and my husband loved it, too!
(4)Phyllis S.
Local. Genuinely ethnic. Delicious. Fresh. Eat here. Take a break from faux coastal local. (No one eats at that clam chowder place.) Chips and salsa are off the hook (chips aren't drenched in salt). Salsa is clearly in-house, bean dip is worth seconds, and the house made habanero sauce beats expectations. My chicken salad avocado salad topped with salsa (versus dressing) was excellent! Seasoned grilled chicken? Hooray! Stop searching and eat at this family owned restaurant. It's just that great! I still have more avocado to eat. Hello?! How often does that happen? Why are you still reading and not ordering your dinner?
(5)Mer P.
Delicious food, massive portions, friendly service, cheap prices. I had the grilled chicken salad, husband had beef burrito, and our little one had a cheese quesadilla. The menu is vast so whatever Mexican goodness you're craving, they'll have it. We'll be back! Signs in the window say they are now closed Mondays and Tuesdays.
(5)Cary R.
So the place is clean and cute...the food mediocre at best, bland and uninspired . But the real issue is the fact that the plate my server put in front of me ..was so hot it blistered my finger . Just as I went to move it..the waiter said hot plate. I immediately put my finer in the ice water and had tears and an inch long blister on my finger . The waiter just walked away. My teens finished their food and the bill came . For the first time in my life I struggled with not wanting to leave a tip. The manager walked by I stopped him and said ..hey listen I just wanted you to know what happened . He just stared right through me and said " uhhh do you want to go to the hospital ?" I said no I'll live. Truth is , I'm sorry would have been wonderful . A simple indication you care about your customers at least as much as you care about their pocket books or at the very least give the impression you do ! My advice is , enjoy the beach and head to one of our other delightful Mexican places, where the food and staff are a reflection of doing things right .
(1)Holly M.
We frequent here and every time we visit they have exceptional service and delicious food every time! I would recommend them to anyone staying g here at the beach! And to the locals that don't already know about them!
(5)Julie L.
This is a great place. The menu is ridiculously huge, but the food is traditional and simply prepared. There are several regional specialties on the menu, including birria, and many seafood dishes. I had the veggie burrito, it was filled with a good mix of fresh seasonal vegetables, pinto beans and Mexican rice and was so large I took half of it home with me. Good margaritas and several good Mexican beers on the bar menu. The interior is beyond charming and is absolutely spotless.

I've been watching them remodel and refurbish this little building almost from the day I moved here -- the first couple of months was just carpenters, working on cold rainy days -- I didn't hold a lot of hope for them. Then came painters, and finally fixtures and furniture -- and you can see from the photos -- the finished little building looks great! I must admit to being briefly confused -- with a name like Puerto Vallarta, I was expecting a Mexican seaside theme (maybe some ceviche? or grilled shrimp?) -- rather than the Texas/New Mexico/Arizona border Sonoran desert and cactus decor... right down to the festival sombreros and sarapes.... But that's okay. For food this good, I'll take the stripes and spangles. The Diego Rivera prints on the walls help. And the booths and tables are really cute.... There's a lot good to say about this place: the meat in both my tamale and enchilada was tender, juicy, and flavorful. The cheese was real -- tangy and creamy. The tamale was proportioned well -- a good balance between filling and masa -- though a little more seasoning wouldn't bother me. the enchilada was equally well filled. Husband said his chicken flautas (or were they called taquitos?) were good -- lots of nice chicken and cheese.... Unlike most of the Mex I've had here in the NW, the rice was cooked -- without being wildly overcooked and mushy. Don't get me wrong -- it was still overcooked a bit. They need to invest in a couple of good fuzzy logic Japanese rice cookers that can keep rice hot and fresh for 8-10 hrs without killing it. That's a simple change and an easy fix for a nearly universal problem.... The refried beans were creamy and well seasoned with a touch of shredded cheese melted into the top. Here's my short list of potential -- and potential is always a good thing: 1. Get a proper rice cooker -- see above. 2. The guacamole was a little watery. But it could have been a fluke. The flavor was good. 3. The salsa/table sauce was also a bit thin. I'm not sure why there seem to be so many fewer tomatoes used in recipes in this part of the country -- but a few more added to the sauce with a stick blender would do wonders here. There just no way to get any salsa scooped up on a chip as it is. 4 In general -- a bit more seasoning/spice across the board would help. In the rice; in the beans; in the table salsa; in the meat fillings -- even the sauces. I really miss New Mexico-red chili powder and Mexican oregano. Prices are very reasonable -- $7-10 for most lunches; a little more for dinner.... But Puerto Vallerta certainly comes closest of all the little Mexican food cafes on the coast -- and YAY! it's just down the street from where I live!
(4)Katie C.
I feel like lincoln city might be the only coastal town in Oregon with good places to eat! We wanted something fast and easy that we could grab and take back to the hotel. Super good burritos, tacos, and nachos!
(4)Shannon M.
Delicious food, huge portions, great service and prices! Restaurant was also very clean and cozy!
(5)Jonathan C.
Good food. We were staying at a hotel about a mile down the road and found that we had a few choices of Mexican restaurants. I am happy we chose to eat here. The staff was friendly and the service was fast. Once we ordered our food was on the table within five minutes. This was really good as we had hungry children. I had steak tacos and they were great. I think I'll be ordering these again in the future.
(4)Chris W.
A very clean establishment with great food but sub par service. I have to say the place is decorated very nicely. We came here today July 3rd and had a pretty good meal. I can't say I've never had better but this is pretty damn good. First off the service we got initially was very good. The waiter brought chips salsa and beans all of which were great. The house salsa is a little spicier then most restaurants but in no way overly spicy. The beans were a nice touch and the menu while busy was decently laid out. My son and I tried to order Tortas but sadly they were out of bread. Our waiter brought back some menus to look at and I got the burrito with chile releno and my son ordered the chicken mole. My dish was great I got the pinto beans instead of re-fried and they were good almost like home made. Sadly like noted earlier the service went from very good to horrible. Our waiter only came back to deliver our food which was a normal wait for most restaurants and I had to ask twice after my initial order for my drink my wife had to ask three times. After that we never saw him again and weren't able to get refills on either drink. I did try the horchata my wife ordered and it was very good. We ended up spending a little more then an hour there never had to wait for a table. Had our order in pretty quickly but spent 20 minutes sitting before we finally got up and paid at the front. Sadly my wife had to wait another 10 minutes as their credit card machine was taking an early vacation for the 4th of July. All said we would go back here again for the food not so much for the lackadaisical service. I can see why this place has such great reviews and it deserves them.
(4)Katie W.
Great place servers where really nice. The food was good and the place was packed but we didn't have to wait to long.
(5)Amy K.
Fast service & the Chile Relleno was comparable to one I had in Cabo...amazing!!! Plus I don't think this is part of the typical chain of Puerto Vallarta Restaurants that we typically see up in Washington, this one is soooo much better & the decor is cute!!! If you're in Lincoln City & are craving Mexican food, give this one a chance!!!
(5)Matt D.
We were greeted warmly by the hostess and sat down with their warm tortilla chips, refried bean dip and tangy salsa immediately. We ordered a pair of Cadillac margaritas which were a god-send, before we chowed down on a bunch of fish tacos! It's a quaint little restaurant that definitely has the kind of authentic Mexican food you would and SHOULD expect! Definitely a must go in Lincoln City!!
(5)Shelby L.
The mixed fajitas and carne asada tacos were great! Super flavorful. I absolutely love the blended strawberry margaritas. They're really big, tasty and inexpensive. Great after a long day of work, or even after relaxing on the beach.
(5)Jessica G.
Great food, sting drinks, and great service. My only complaint is the food took a while to come out, but they kept the chips, salsa and bean dip coming while we waited. I highly recommend this place for some good Mexican food!
(4)Frank R.
We were staying right across the street so it was too convenient not to go. We read some reviews and thought, let's try it. There weren't many vehicles in the lot which sometimes isn't a good sign, but it was Sunday evening and the day had been stormy. We walked in and were seated. We glanced at the menu as the server greeted us. He took our beverage order. We continued to look over the vast menu. He came back with our beverages and took our order. The drinks were very tasty in all the right ways. Our food came shortly after. I had chimichanga de camarones. It was delicious. My wife had enchiladas. She said they were also delicious. The restaurant was very clean. The service was great. It's right off Hwy 101. No reason at all not to visit them. Closed on MONDAYs...
(4)Douglas W.
The worst Mexican restaurant in the south is still better than the best here in Lincoln city. I shoulda gone to Taco Bell, seriously. If you are one of the people who rated this place high, you obviously don't know what real Mexican food is.
(2)Cheryl L.
This place has great food better then any Portland area mexican restaurants. Highly recommend don't be fooled by there outside look this place is worth eating at if mexican food is what your craving. My boyfriend had the carnitas I had the chili Verde burrito the sauce was home made for sure great flavor.
(5)Dave H.
Oh my goodness! Deliciousness!! Great chips and salsa! I had the crane taco salad and my wife got the mole special. Both were spectacular. The kiddos enjoyed the chips and salsa and quesadilla. The service and atmosphere are perfect! Super colorful, clean and comfortable. The bathrooms were really clean and the view of the mountains is great to eat lunch with.
(5)Kristen W.
Tasty food, great price, great portions. The ambiance of the restaurant is awesome and the Cadillac Margaritas are well done! We had (in 2 different trips) the Burrito Supremo, Chimichanga Del Mar, Pork Carnitas Torta, & 3 Pork Taco combo. We were pleased with everything we got and the staff consistently refilled our chips-salsa-refried beans. Overall a great experience - we ate there 2 nights in a row. La Roca is good, but Puerto Vallarta is great!
(4)Ivan E.
My visit to Puerto Vallarta Mexican Restaurant in Lincoln City, Oregon, is one I will not soon forget. The food, waitressing, and restaurant atmosphere all come together to create a beautiful melody of a working restaurant turning out the best Mexican food on the Central Coast of Oregon. Whether you're in the mood for a burrito stuffed fat with meat, beans, veggies, and cheese, or a golden-brown quesadilla filled with cheese and slathered in salsa, guacamole, and sour cream, or you're craving nachos piled high with cheese, olives, salsa, and finished off with a dollop of guacamole, Puerto Vallarta has all this and more. A full bar add to this restaurant an authentic Mexican feel that you can taste right in the delicious food. Whatever you choose on the menu, it's guaranteed to satisfy. The moment you step into the restaurant, you feel like you're right in the heart of Jalisco.
(5)Heidi B.
Great Mexican food at a great price! I would definitely recommend this place if you are in Lincoln City.
(5)Jenn M.
Heard a few good things about restaurant so we tried it out. Service was very good but food really sucked.
(2)Aaron G.
Very cute restaurant, food was deliciousness. Had many servers in a small restaurant and they were busy. Our service was slow. My wife ordered a soda and it was never refilled. Also never offered more salsa and chips. That being said this is one of there busiest days of the year (not that busy, got right in) I would definitely go here again. Wife said to give them 3-1/2 stars. Rounded up to 4. You won't be disappointed.
(4)Cara S.
Absolutely divine. The flavors were fresh and bold, the service was good, and the prices were reasonable.
(5)Ivette S.
First off...the restaurant is spotless with appealing decor. We had the chile verde carnitas burrito and the chicken enchilada with a carne asada taco, it was excellent. Their salsa is nice and spicy and homemade. Their crunchy taco is not from a Del Taco box. Its a do-over. Oh and their orchata is homemade and to die for.
(5)Reatha T.
Our family enjoyed the food and service. The traditional chips and salsa was great complimented by the refried beans. We had happy faces leaving.
(4)Charlie L.
Fast and friendly service! What a great find. Chips salsa plus refried bean dip was served right away. Try the al pastor tacos. Awesome! Definitely coming back next time I'm in Lincoln city.
(5)Rich J.
Clean restaurant with friendly staff. Conveniently located on Hwy101. The enchiladas were good. Reasonable prices.
(4)Brittany A.
This place was great! The best service at any restaurant that I've had in like FOREVER. No joke. And that's usually a big thing for me. They came to fill out water several times, and even filled up our chips, salsa, and beans 3 times for us (we were two hungry people coming in from a hike). I also thought that their mexican food was good! I haven't found any mexican place in Portland that I like... and I've tried a handful, but this place definitely makes me wanna come back next time I'm in Lincoln City. I'm from Southern California, so I can be a little more picky when it comes to good Mexican food (but there ARE a ton of crappy Mexican food places in Southern California as well, don't get me wrong). Anyways... I'll be back for sure!
(5)Sherri S.
We also judge a Mexican restaurant by the chips & salsa, and they place get's an A on their salsa, We very much enjoyed our dinner, service was great too! The place is very clean and well taken care of!
(5)Nancy K.
I came in after the remodel and the place looks great. Plus, it was packed so it looks like business has picked up. The food was just as good as before... and I should know because I ordered the same thing I did last time and it was delicious. Solid 4 stars now.
(4)Sarah G.
Tonight was the first time we've come here after the remodel. This place is fantastic! It was super clean, the food was beautiful & tasty with quite generous portions. The waitstaff checked on us so frequently, they were very attentive & friendly. Really couldn't of asked for anything more. I was blown away. (And that never happens in Lincoln City!) Very impressed!
(5)Bill B.
Went here years ago before the remodel and it is as good now as then. Great food great service. Will definitely be a tradition for coming to the coast
(5)Nicole T.
Highly recommended we eat a ton of Mexican and it was def one of the best!!! Good service, warm chips, salsa and beans!! Got to love that!! My chimichanga was one if not the best I ever had! We stayed at the Wecoma Inn and walked over so that was convenient. Closes at 9 we cut it close!! Very vibrant fun colors. Very clean! My husband ordered burrito Supremo and it was HUGE!!! We will def come back it was a great little place my first thought was it was a "gem"
(5)Dennis T.
The food and service has always been good . We have been here several times now. Love the tacos!! Beans and rice Always made very well. One of the best places to eat Mexican in Lincoln City .
(5)Athena A.
Fresh, hot chips & delicious salsa, served with refried beans...um...YUM! Followed up with the Enchiladas Suizas and a combination plate #21; Enchilada, taco & chile relleno. If you ever get a chance, EAT HERE!!!!
(5)Tanya G.
Pleasantly surprised! The inside was vibrant and clean and the staff was friendly. I ordered a basic meal consisting of a chicken enchilada and the meat was fantastic - chunks of boiled breast meat that had really good flavor. I almost didn't finish my meal because I had so many helpings of the chips, salsa and bean dip. The salsa had just the right amount of heat to it. Overall, I would definitely return - affordable, delicious food. Being offered a cinnamon/sugar tortilla chip with whip cream at the end was so much nicer than a mint candy - nice touch.

Delicious! Went here based on the Yelp reviews and wasn't disappointed. The beef fajitas were seasoned and cooked perfectly. No complaints whatsoever. We also tried the pork carnitas and were once again completely satisfied. Thank you for the fine meal!

We are from California so to find Mexican food that compares to ours isn't easy but this place was AWESOME! A big thing or my is restaurant bathrooms and this one was perfect so I knew I would be in good hands! Staff was excellent, good was great. Really loved how clean everything was!

The service was great! It's Family owed and you can tell right away by the way they treat their customers:-) I had the fajita mix and it was amazing! My husband had the veggie burrito and added steak to it and he loved it! You can't go wrong with their Cadillac margaritas either:-) will definitely come back! Very kid friendly:-)

One of the best mexican restaurants I have ever been to! I live in Los Angeles but was in Oregon on vacation for about a week. Given that I live in LA, you know I've had some pretty good mexican food. If I lived in Oregon I would probably eat at this restaurant at least once a week! The food is really outstanding. I loved the bean dip and the salsa (which they can make spicier if you ask), and the food, well I can't given enough praise about the food. During the short week we stayed in Oregon we ate here twice because we just loved it. We even planned one of our days around eating here again!

It's been hard to find good food on our trip down the coast. Fortunately, Puerto Vallarto did not disappoint. The salsa with the chips and salsa was just right, and the rest of the meal held up, too. It won't blow you away, but it's decent Mexican food and it's not too expensive.

This unassuming place is not to be passed up. Some of the best tasting, cheapest Mexican food I've had in a long time. The rice and beans were sublime and the meat was very high quality (we had the pork, chicken, and steak). It had a very classy, clean atmosphere since the remodel. We would definitely return on another trip down the coast.

Amazing food and service. Our waiter was so nice, patient and accommodating. We had 10 people in our group for a bachelorette party. They put us in a back room that was semi private. The food came out really fast and was very good. High quality and fresh. The crab enchilada was amazing!

Loved it. We had the super nachos, grilled chicken salad and fish tacos. Everything was delicious. Definitely will go back!

Pleasantly surprised by the mexican restaurant at the Oregon coast. Ordered Take-away and received a plentiful amount of chips and salsa with the mean. Food was excellent and large quantity. I probably shouldn't have finished the whole portion as I was too full later, but it was so good. Highly recommended and will definitely go back when I want Mexican food.

I was excited to see these guys open again after the long wait for rebuilding. Got some quick Togo food and it was as good as always. I'm planning to take some friends soon.

I had the chili relleno and enchilada combo for lunch. Fantastic! You get a lot for the very economic price! This if the first place my mom has raved about that I have had to agree...there is hope for her taste buds yet!

Anna, the owner is very accommodating. She's working hard to support her family and best of all the food is great. We have been eating here for a few years and have always had consistently good food. Order her special of the day, it's always stellar. I judge all Mexican restaurants by their beans. These beans are perfect! So if you want a good meal at a decent price this is the place to go.

Went here on a lark. Service was good, food was lack-luster, margaritas were watered down and weren't very fruity. I'd not come back. The bacon-wrapped shrimp was okay, but the Zarapes was very overdone. Later that night, the Zarapes made a come-back - right back out my mouth. Two of my fellow diners had really bad diarrhea all the next day. I'd strongly advise not ever eating here.

Hands down best casual restaurant on the coast! Friendly prompt service, mouthwatering fresh cooked dishes.

My man and I ended up here for an anniversary dinner. The food was extremely reasonably priced and fantastic. I ordered the chicken carnitas and he ordered the steak sarapes (one of their specialties). We were raving every step of the way-- our margaritas (one strawberry and one jalapeño) were fruity, strong and perfectly blended. Our meals were sizzling and came in generous portions. The flour tortillas were clearly freshly handmade and the salsas and guacamole were likely an old family recipe. The service was attentive but not overly-so. It was my first time in Lincoln City, and I know where I'll be coming back to next time I make it out to the coast!

I'm only giving it 3 stars, the food was fine, not bad not great, fine, but don't let that fool you into thinking I don't recommend this place. I do, highly. Especially if you're a vegetarian in this seafood crazed town. This is the first mexican joint I've been to (don't ask me how many I've been to) that offered so many options for a taco salad. Including 2 vegetarian options. No funny looks when you want beans & rice instead of chicken? Unheard of!

A great Mexican restaurant in Oregon of all places! I've been craving Mexican food all week and this place fit the bill. I must admit the exterior was a little uninviting compared to restaurants back in California, but the inside was nicely decorated and the staff was extremely friendly and the food was surprisingly good.
